I love going there fortunately, I am retired, and a little bit flexible as to when I can get there. This way I can avoid the worst of the crowds. That said, I would give this place five stars if they would actually try to monitor the use of the weight machines. Invariably, people use them as places to sit and make phone calls, chat with friends, etc. It’s not a problem to ask somebody if they’re done, but I don’t feel like I should have to do that as often as I do, all it would require would be one of the trainers or desk person to simply keep an eye on things. Some of the new machines have automatic timers so you know when it’s time to resume your next set after a one or two minute rest interval. The problem is, some self-absorbed people don’t pay attention to them. But overall, I love this place.

Got a day pass after a tour to try out the gym facilities. This is by far the nicest community center I have ever seen. The value for the price is unbeatable. Between the access to the gym, classes, indoor track, outdoor water park, basketball courts, childcare, all in a modern, well ventilated beautiful facility with new equipment...you can't beat it. And for those that want outdoor fun there are trails all around for walking, running, biking and a skateboard mini park...it has everything for everyone. Hands down fantastic.

I've been coming here for 20 years and it's been great but this year I've had two ridiculous events that have really come across as unprofessional and ridiculous. First on March 17 I was playing basketball with my friends like we do every single week for over a decade and at 930PM I went to use the bathroom and it was locked. This was already super unprofessional as it was since they close at 10, but then after that one of the staff came up to us and berated us, telling us to get off the court since "no one ever leaves on time" at like 950PM. Not only that, they shut off the gym lights as well. She was extremely rude and sassy and unprofessional, and this was unfair since the gym closes at 10PM like it always has for my entire life. I sent a complaint in obviously super upset and didn't even get an automated reply to this day. Then, today I'm also playing full court with my friends as usual every single week Tuesdays Saturdays Sundays and one of the staff comes up to us saying there is family complaining about not having space the court to just shoot around. There was only one family on the side shooting and I was like okay sure I understand. I was a kid here before once too and

Best gym! It's always clean and well kept. Great workout classes. Great variety of machines. Their machines are also high end and very new!

Carmel has a great community center. Lap pool for the adults, a big pool for kids with a beach like entry; even two water slides. Basketball, racquetball, jogging track, exercise equipment/weights. Nothing is left out. Outside they have a really good playground, and impressive splash park to cool off in the summer. Lots of classes and group activities. Really a great facility to take advantage of. It's extra nice since the renovations are complete.
